So, I started a new blog for my son, www.joysofmegan.blogspot.com. I'll be mostly updating on there. I'm 25 now, and have a ton to update on here about. Haven't been on this blog in about 3 years.

Long Time

I haven't been on here in a very long time. Today is my first day off in a VERY long time as well. I got off last night at midnight. I actually slept in until past 11 AM. WHOOT! Currently, I'm reading "I Hope They Serve Beer in HELL" Tucker Max. Pretty funny stuff. He's awful, but funny. If you are sensitive, don't read this book, you need a strong sense of humor to laugh at his writing.

I just finished all three The Lord of the Rings books, loved them of course.

I also think I've decided that I do want to stay in child care the rest of my life. I think it's my calling. Which in turn, now I can go back to school because I know what I want to take. :-) Few more months of making sure and I'm in.

Rich and I are also going to TRY to learn Spanish. Kind of hard because my hearing, the pronunciation is hard for me to get. Hopefully it won't be as hard as it seems.

I'll try and write more, thanks Jhani for sending me the invite to read yours, I had forgotten all about this.

Y&T

Excited for this weekend. Friday night Rich and I get a night alone at the Ranch together and then Sat. my parent-in-laws come up and we're going to see Y&T Saturday night. I'm REALLY EXCITED!
I'm also getting excited to go across the United States (my favorite place on Earth). I want to bring a journal and document my favorite places so one day I can come back to them. And just to document my fav. cities and all the states I hit on the way so I remember. I'm not good with my geography, so I forget where I've been and how I got there. lol
I'm EXCITED!

Giants and Steph

So the Giants won in the 13th inning yesterday. WHOOT! That made me happy. I went and saw Star Trek with my momma, and LOVED IT! That made me happy. Although the movie popcorn with tons of extra butter flavoring wasn't a good idea. I've been sick ever sense. It makes me sick everytime but I can't help myself. This time I really did it bad, I ate an extra large to myself. I'm so sick today. I didn't even walk the dogs I was supposed to today. I've been nausious and had the runs for a full day now. BLAH!
Oh, so my niece Steph is amazing: she won ALL her playoff games and is going to the Championship! SO EXCITING! Everyone pray for her and hope she takes the cake. It's exciting. I'm bummed because her CHAMPIONSHIP game is while I'm at work. BLAH!!!
Okay, I'm talking to two of my sister in laws on the AIM, so I'm out. Hope I feel better.

Happy!

Okay, I worked really hard today: I took on two extra jobs, it went 5 dogs, then 2 kids for hours, and then an extra kid job called on me last minute with 2 more kids, one was really sick, which is always hard. She's adorable though and they are really good kids so it was a good way to end the night. But I was working from this morning and walked in the door from work at 10:30 at night.
Although, here comes the happy parts which WAY out weigh the hard work:

• I made a lot of extra money, which we need
• My nieces team won (she's in the playoffs right now)
• The Giants won :-)
• And I came home to my husband making me pasta with meat sauce (which I've been craving forever)
  
• And now Rich is chillin' playing poker with Jru
• I'm full and happy and about to go and chill on my own and read a book that I'm loving!

Doesn't get better then that.
All in all: HAPPY!

Giants

I've been following the Giants really close this year (don't know why I ever fell out of following them, only for a few seasons though, Rich distracted me, I swear). And all I have to say is that Lincecum and Ishikawa are both rookies but they're going to be amazing this year. And of course Bengie Molina is as always doing awesome. Also, Randy Winn played a few awesome right field plays the other night. Tonights win just made me so dang happy. Let alone we just won the series against our rivals, THE DODGERS, which I hate. So that was a good thing. Giants are going to do well this season, but the Dodgers actually have a pretty strong team this year too, unfortunatly. But we won the series, WHOOOT! Come on rooks this year. And Molina baby, WHOOOOWWW!

House

We put a bid on a house a couple days ago. Pretty scary stuff. EXCITING, yet really scary. She could deny it and it would all be over just like that, or she (she, being the owner of the house currently) could last second decide not to sell, or give it to her grand kids or something.
I'm praying it goes through. It's a great little started house for me and the hubby. It's a two bedroom, 1.5 bath. It's really cute. It has a sun room as well. Which Rich has changed to the "Poker/smoking/laundry room" for friends and such; well, the laundry of course isn't for friends, that's definitely my area. haha.
It's so scary though.
The house needs a ton of work, but that's what we're willing to do. It's a little smaller then we wanted but once again, it's just the two of us and we would be owning something. I'm exciting about it, too excited about it. I'm trying so hard not to get my hopes up but I can't help it. I'm going crazy waiting for that phone to ring.
Okay, IF we did get it here are some of the things we would have to do:
There is lava rock outside and we want grass so 1.) Dig up the rocks and plant and grow grass
2.) We also want some cement or slab part for a table or something, so putting stone or whatever also.
3.) Paint the whole place
4.) Rip up the main bathroom and re-do the whole thing
5.) New carpet
6.) Half bathroom has carpet right now (YUCK) so we have to rip that up and put some linoleum
7.) Put a little fence around the yard for the doggies.
Oh, forgot to mention, it's also scary because even if this lady excepts are offer, we still have to get approved for the park. It's a little gated community area, with a pool and a little library and a gazebo area, with tables and a room you can rent for parties. Indoor hot tub and sauna. So you have to get 'accepted' into the community. AHHH! Okay, I need to stop, or else I'm going to cry. WISH US LUCK PLEASE!
